The State of Marketing in Brevard County: What Local Businesses Still Get Wrong

Includes real data from Pew Research, Google, BrightLocal, HubSpot, Metricool, and Meta.

Brevard County is full of top-tier businesses offering incredible service. The problem is that most of them are invisible online. Here are the biggest gaps.

1. Relying on Word of Mouth Alone

Pew Research shows 72 percent of Americans use social media daily, and 55 percent use it to research businesses.
Word of mouth has moved online. If you are not there, you are not part of the conversation.

2. Outdated or Weak Websites

Google reports that 53 percent of mobile visitors leave a site if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load, and BrightLocal found that 50 percent of consumers judge a business by its website quality.

Poor websites do not just hurt your reputation. They kill conversions.

3. Inconsistent or Low-Quality Posting

HubSpot confirmed that brands that post consistently on social media generate up to 2 times more leads than brands that post irregularly.
But most Brevard companies post sporadically, without a content system behind it.

4. Not Understanding Paid Ads

Metricool’s 2025 Social Ads Study found:

  • TikTok traffic campaigns have a CPC as low as $0.01
  • TikTok CTR is 4.93 percent vs Meta’s 2.54 percent
  • Meta generates 61.3 percent of total conversions, the strongest BOF performance
  • Meta CPA is up to 7 times cheaper than TikTok at the bottom of the funnel

Local businesses either do not run ads or run them blind. The ones using full-funnel systems are pulling away fast.

5. Content That Does Not Match Their Quality

Adobe’s research found that 67 percent of consumers say poor-quality content harms their perception of a brand.
Many Brevard high-end businesses still post dark, blurry, rushed content that does not reflect the service they deliver.

6. No Storytelling

Google’s Marketing Insights found that brands that use origin or founder stories see up to a 20 percent lift in consideration.
People buy from people, not logos.

7. No Customer Journey

Lifecycle marketing science shows that businesses with complete journeys (awareness to referral) grow two to three times faster than those that rely only on acquisition.
Your LM document reflects the same flow.

Bottom Line

The Space Coast is growing, and the brands that invest in their online presence are winning the race. The ones staying invisible are getting left behind.
