Taking a brand and creating something ownable, useful, and very merry
the goal
We were tasked to take a nonprofit’s brand and give it a refresh so it had memorable, ownable assets that they could use years into the future. The original brand was mostly clip art and a name. Our task was basically to build the brand from the ground up.
the strategy
The people who would be interacting with this brand would range from donors and volunteers to local parents and kids who will be utilizing the organization’s offerings. Knowing all this, we wanted to create a brand that would present professionally, while still capturing the welcoming spirit of the ministry, and the festive feeling of the season.
the implementation
We chose a color palette that reflects the nostalgia of the season, with a modern and light hearted twist. The font is exciting and playful - attractive to the children who will become recipients on Christmas morning. The primary logo combines these elements to create an easily usable asset for the brand.
the results
The brand was piloted for Christmas 2024 and was able to be used in several places. It will continue to grow in use throughout future years for fundraising, donations, and giving.
the ministry
Gifts from the Heart is a subsidiary ministry of NeighborUp Brevard. Their mission is to reach children and families in Brevard County with education and resources useful to help them thrive. Gifts from the Heart is a specific ministry that focuses on providing affordable Christmas presents to families in need.
